Project consists of blast cleaning, re-coating, and other minor repairs to silos #1 & #2 and the smoke stack at the lime reclamation facility. Silo #1 (southwest) is approximately 30 ft. diameter with a 48 ft. sidewall. Silo#2(northeast) is approximately 30 ft. diameter with a 30 ft. sidewall, an exterior conedbottom, underlying piping, and structural supports. There is a secondary tank beneath withadiameterofapproximately 6 ft. and an 18 ft. sidewall. Silo #1 includes the roof conveyors, roof air filterhousing, and associated exterior piping. There is a stairwell on Silo #2 (northeast), aladderonSilo #1 (southwest), and there is a catwalk between the two silos. The smoke stackis approximately 42 ft. tall with an approximate diameter of 5 ft. The work includes: Silo #1 and #2: Exterior (silos, secondary tank, supports, roof conveyors, and piping): Abrasive blast cleantoaSSPC-SP6 commercial standard within containment. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxyurethanesystem. Exterior (stairwell and elevator): High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) andspot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane system. Foundations: Abrasive blast clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Repairs: 1) Install a fall prevention device on the sidewall ladder. 2) Install an extension on the roof platform. 3) Install tank grounding. Smoke stack: Exterior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard within containment. Applya three (3) coat zinc epoxy urethane system.
