Sealed proposals are requested for the furnishing of all necessary materials, machinery, equipment, superintendence, and labor for the installation and construction of one 60,000-gallon bolted ground storage tank and associated tie-ins and piping as indicated on the plans and specifications. Other incidental items of work as called for in the specifications are included. The project is located in the Commodore Cove Improvement District in Freeport, Texas, and is funded by Texas Water Development Board funds. The project must comply with American Iron & Steel requirements. Bidders must submit a Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bid Bond from a reliable Surety company, payable to the Commodore Cove Improvements District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible bid. Bids without the required security will not be considered. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible Surety Company authorized to do business in Texas. Bidders must state all lump sum and unit prices in both script and figures. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and accept the most advantageous bid. Bidders are expected to inspect the site and inform themselves of all local conditions. This contract is contingent upon the release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board and is expected to be funded by a loan or loan with principal forgiveness from TWDB and a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
