Sealed bids are requested for the "Olde Apple Acres Subdivision - Sanitary & Watermain" project. The scope includes installation of approximately 2,300 linear feet of 8" PVC sanitary sewer main, 3,100 linear feet of 8" PVC watermain, 1,025 linear feet of 1.25" HDPE water services, and 1,070 linear feet of 4" PVC sanitary services. Additional work involves manholes, valves, fittings, hydrants, and related items. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by Westwood Professional Services. Bid documents can be ordered electronically or in print for a fee. Bidders must file a "Bidders Proof of Responsibility" at least five working days before bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for at least five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder is required to provide a performance bond equal to 100 percent of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance, and an executed contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid in the best interest of the district and waive informalities in the bidding process. The construction work covered by these specifications shall include the furnishing of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct watermain, sanitary sewer, and appurtenances as are shown on the Drawings and set forth in the Proposal. This project includes new sanitary sewer and watermain for Phase 3 of the Olde Apple Acres Subdivision development located in the NE 1/4 of Section 18, T18N, R16E, Town of Algoma, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of bids may not be answered.
