Reference Number 0000410806 The Dall on Elkhorn Creek project is a 2 year, ~ 1 mile post fire hand labor process based stream restoration project along the HUC 12 Elkhorn Creek Watershed near Red Feather Lakes Colorado. The project site is roughly 2.5 miles south of County Road 74e along Manhattan road near Granite Ridge Trailhead. Elkhorn Creek was identified as high priority in CPRW's Upper Poudre Resilience Plan due to factors like burn severity, infrastructure risk, and debris flow hazard. Elkhorn Creek is a priority watershed that has received pre-wildfire treatments since 2015 and was partly mulched following the CPF. The Dall project is part of a landscape level approach to stream restoration, which will cover 6 miles of stream along Elkhorn Creek after projects are completed in 2027. The project site is located on USFS managed property but access will be through either the USFS Granite Ridge trailhead north of the project site or through ~ 1 mile of private property to the west of the project site.
