The work consists of the construction of approximately 1.42 miles of asphalt resurfacing, including about 1,146 tons of 9.5mm Superpave, 313 tons of OGI leveling, 265 tons of 4.75mm leveling, 1.42 centerline miles of high build striping, and all necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work is to be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed. Bids must be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms provided for this purpose, following the Contract Documents and Plans and Specifications available for review at the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, by appointment only. Copies of Bid Forms, Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents can be obtained from Hofstadter and Associates, Inc. for a deposit of $150.00 per set (in PDF format), with no refunds for returned documents. Bids must be sealed, filed with Lumber City prior to the deadline, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond payable to Lumber City for 10 percent of the bid amount, to be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bid is accepted and the bidder fails to promptly enter into a written contract and provide the required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates. Late bids will be returned unopened. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. Lumber City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook informalities or irregularities in the proposals. Question Deadline 03/03/2026: In general, no answer will be given to an oral question if the answer involves an interpretation of the intent or meaning of the Contract Documents or Plans, or the equality or use of products or methods other than those definitely designated or described on the Plans or in the Specifications. To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer at least 7 days before the advertised date for receipt of bids.
