A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Roofing Modifications to Building 'A', 'B', & 'C' and Removal of Unapproved Addition to Building 'A' at Tulare Tech Prep High School. The lowest bid shall be determined on the amount of the base bid. This contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. The Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rate for legal holidays and overtime work, and the contractor must pay for any labor therein described or classified in an amount not less than the rates specified. Public works projects shall be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. For all projects over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to submit a bid or to be listed in a bid proposal unless currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5, and proof of registration is provided. The bidder shall state the public works contractor registration number for each subcontractor performing more than one-half of one percent (0.5%) of the bidder's total bid. The contract time shall be from June 12, 2026 to August 7, 2026. Bids must be sealed and filed at Tulare Joint Union High School District, 426 N. Blackstone, Tulare, CA 93274, by March 5, 2026, before 11:00 a.m. No bid will be accepted after this time. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The successful bidder may substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage as described in the Agreement. The Owner will not consider bids from contractors not licensed to do business in California and the bidder shall have a Class "B" license at the time of award and through completion of the contract and warranty periods. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference at Tulare Tech Prep High School, 737 W. Bardsley Ave., Tulare, CA. Bidders not attending the conference will be disqualified.
