The work consists of asphalt removal and replacements for parking lots at Wilson Elementary School, Mulcahy Middle School (Clinite Building), and Roosevelt Elementary School (Mary Garcia Building). Bids must be sealed and filed at Tulare City School District. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The bidder must have a Class "C-12" License at the time of award and shall maintain that license in good standing through completion of the contract and all applicable warranty periods. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site visit is required. Only contractors currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 are eligible to bid. The Owner reserves the right to add or deduct items after the lowest responsible and responsive bidder is determined. The lowest bid shall be determined on the amount of the base bid. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the bid will not be accepted.
