Sealed bids are being received for a contract for interior, exterior painting, and drywall repair at various sites. The work must be performed in accordance with the contract documents, including drawings and specifications, which are available electronically from the Owner. The Owner may add or deduct items after determining the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, with the lowest bid based on the base bid amount. The contract requires compliance with prevailing wage laws as set forth by the Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California. Projects over $25,000 require contractors and subcontractors to be registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5. Each bidder must state the public works contractor registration number for each subcontractor performing more than 0.5% of the total bid. The completion deadline for the Bridge is July 3, 2026, and for the remaining sites is July 24, 2026. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the Tulare City School District Office. Facsimile copies will not be accepted. A mandatory site visit will be held for all bidders, and those not attending will be disqualified. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder is required to provide a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract sum. Only licensed contractors with a Class "C-33" license at the time of award, in accordance with California law, may bid, and this license must be maintained in good standing throughout the contract and warranty periods.
