Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Bradford, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Orange East Supervisory Union, on behalf of River Bend Technical Center (RBCTC), is seeking proposals from qualified HVAC contractors to furnish and install a new LP-fired Make-Up Air Unit (MAU) to serve the culinary kitchen at RBCTC located at 36 Oxbow Dr., in Bradford, VT. Attendance at a mandatory site walkthrough is required for proposal consideration. Failure to attend will result in disqualification. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the project, including: _ Furnish and install a new LP-fired MAU suitable for a commercial kitchen application. _ Provide and install a curb adapter to fit the new MAU to the existing roof curb. _ Furnish and install supply grilles in front of the existing hood and extend existing ductwork to the new grilles. _ All new ductwork shall: o Be constructed of galvanized sheet metal o Meet the latest SMACNA standards o Be fully insulated per the Vermont Commercial Building Energy Standard _ Furnish and install LP gas piping from the existing 3-inch LP gas main to the new MAU. o Piping shall be Schedule 40 carbon steel, routed on the roof, and painted yellow. o Pipe < 2.5 inches: threaded fittings o Pipe > 2.5 inches: welded fittings _ Start up the MAU in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and air balance the system.
