Site work for a water / sewer project in Anderson, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of connecting to the existing water main at Enterprise Drive with a proposed 16" water main using open-cut construction methods and installing the water main southeast along the parcel at 2705 Enterprise Drive. At the I-69 right-of-way, the water main will be installed by trenchless utility installation methods approximately 700 feet underneath I-69. The 16" water main will then be installed via open-cut method approximately 1,300 feet to the southwest, parallel with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and terminated at the limits of the proposed RaceTrac parcel for future extension. An alternate bid includes trenchless installation of a 24" water main instead of 16", beginning at Enterprise Drive and continuing underneath I-69, approximately 700 feet with a 42" casing instead of a 30". The 16" water main for the base bid will then continue as described. Instructions to bidders include clearly marking the outside of the sealed envelope with "BID - PROJECT TITLE AND NAME" and complying with all other requirements as set forth in the Bidding Documents. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Anderson reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City.
