The project includes the removal of the old pipe and installation of approximately 2,223 feet of HP non-perforated pipe and 164 feet of boring A36 Steel Pipe, with associated structures. Bids must be properly and completely executed on forms and in the order as identified and contained in the contract documents. Each bid must include a completely filled out Standard Questionnaire Form 96, E-Verify Certification Form, and acceptable bid security. Any bid not accompanied by these required items shall be deemed non-responsive. No bidder may withdraw their bid within a period of 60 days following the date set for receipt of bids. The owner reserves the right to retain all bids for up to 60 days and further reserves the right to waive informalities, award the contract to any bidder to the Owner's advantage, or reject all bids. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the Owner or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to five percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in Indiana. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required from the contractor to whom the work is awarded. Contractor shall make all measurements and check dimensions necessary for the proper construction of the work called for by the Drawings and Specifications, and during the prosecution of the work, Contractors shall make all necessary measurements to prevent misfitting of any component of said work, and shall record such accurate measurements of the construction on a set of construction drawings to be submitted to the Engineer when the Contractor considers the project substantially complete.
