Sealed bids are requested for materials and supplies to be used by various Elkhart County Departments for the year 2026. The items include Liquid Asphalt, Hot Asphaltic Concrete, Limestone & Recycled Concrete, Washed Sand, Dust Control, Anti Icing Liquids, Maintenance Gravel, Gasoline and Diesel Fuel, Fiber Optic Cable, Tracer Wire, and Communications Conduit. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery of their bids to the designated office. Detailed specifications for each item can be examined at the Elkhart County Highway Department or online. The bids should specify the "2026 Specifications for Materials and Supplies for Elkhart County" and the relevant item number(s) on the bid envelope. No bond is required. Items will be ordered as needed via purchase requisitions from the respective departments, unless otherwise specified. The commissioners reserve the right to award contracts to multiple responsible and responsive bidders for certain items based on factors such as quality, proximity, delivery expenses, needed quantities, delivery time, price, and other identified criteria.
