Princeton Electric Plant Board is soliciting bids for the design, construction, supply, and delivery of sixty-one (61) hot-dip galvanized (HDG) steel distribution utility poles. The project is partially funded through the Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant, implemented by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), under the Resilient and Efficient Codes Implementation (RECI) Program, and is part of the Kentucky Grid Resilience Grant Program, with a primary focus on improving the resilience of the electric grid against disruptive events caused by severe weather. The work required for this project includes providing all components, materials, equipment, labor needed to deliver steel power distribution poles as part of a project partially funded by Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Resilient and Efficient Codes Implementation (RECI) Program. This includes any design, electrical, and mechanical work needed to properly carry out the scope of work according to federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Design, Construct, and Supply A total of sixty-one (61) hot-dip galvanized (HDG) steel distribution utility poles engineered to withstand wind speeds up to 140 mph, the classification and size of each pole is listed in Appendix A.
