Work includes the safe disconnection, capping, and removal of services; protection of systems that are to remain active; compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements; dust and occupant protection; and responsible waste management and disposal, including salvage where specified. Contractors must perform demolition in a coordinated, staged, and workmanlike manner, ensuring site safety, minimizing disruption to ongoing building operations, and leaving the area clean, secure, and ready for subsequent redevelopment.
