The work consists of furnishing all labor and materials and performing all required work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for Major Jenkins Road & Bridge Improvements B2024-015 MCR38. The project will include, but is not limited to: 2,375 feet of grading, 25,000 cubic yards of common excavation, construction of a prestressed concrete beam simple span bridge (PBMS) with a span of 100 feet, placement of 6 inches of surfacing material (AB-3), and seeding. All equipment, materials, and workmanship must comply with the Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction of the Kansas Department of Transportation, 2015 Edition and all supplemental specifications and special provisions included therein. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in the State of Kansas and made payable to the Pottawatomie County Treasurer. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Statutory Bonds, each in the amount of the total contract price, according to the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularity, determine the best responsible bid most suitable to the Owner, and approve the bonds. All persons awarded or entering into contracts shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable County, State, and Federal provisions pertaining to nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action on public contracts.
