The project will also add three mid-block crosswalks and curb ramps which will require minimal excavation within existing right of way. General traffic on Coffee Road will be able to drive on smoother pavement, upgraded bike facilities will have more visible markings and provide safer crosswalks for pedestrians in the general area of Downey High School. The work is located within the City of Modesto, on Coffee Road fromjust southof NorwegianAvenue to just north of Scenic Drive. Each bid shall be made out on the Bid Form available through online and shall be accompanied by a bid security for not less than 10 percent of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of the City Clerk, City of Modesto, California. Each bid shall also be accompanied by an executed Local Hire Certification and Skilled and Trained Workforce Certification in accordance with Articles 7 and 8 of Chapter 3 of the Modesto Municipal Code. The above-mentioned bid security shall be given as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into the contract if awarded to them and will be declared forfeited if the successful Bidder refuses to enter into said contract after being notified to do so by the City of Modesto. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in a bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Completion- 100 working days
