Site work and paving for a road / highway in Columbus, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are requested for Road Paving; AC-5 Asphalt; AC-10 Asphalt; CRS-2 Emulsion; MC-30 Road Oil; Seal Coat Sealers; Road Materials; Culverts; and Herbicides (or proven equal acceptable to Commissioners) for all county precincts. Bidders for road paving must include proof of Workers' Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance Coverage in the amount of one million dollars. The successful Bidder for road paving is required to furnish a Performance Bond if the contract exceeds $100,000 and a Payment Bond if the contract exceeds $25,000. For contracts of $50,000 or less, no payment will be made until completion and acceptance of work. Road paving Bidders are required to provide a bid bond for five percent of the bid amount. Lump sum or unit pricing is to be used as per specifications. Payment will be made upon receipt of invoice after delivery and proper processing. The County reserves the right to waive technicalities, reject any or all bids, and to accept any bid advantageous to the County.
