Provide professional services, including all management, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, and permits required to inspect, test, and perform routine maintenance on approximately 331 fire extinguishers throughout the VA Providence Healthcare System. Work includes conducting monthly and annual inspections, performing six-year and twelve-year hydrostatic testing, removing and replacing deficient extinguishers, ensuring extinguishers are properly mounted and accessible, and providing on-call quality-assurance site inspections within four business days when requested. The contractor shall check in with the Safety Department upon arrival, use the safety extinguisher tracker for documentation, ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, NFPA 101, Joint Commission, and VA regulations, and supply loaner extinguishers when units are removed from service. All work must meet the quality standards of applicable authorities having jurisdiction, and contractor personnel must obtain and display VA-issued identification badges while on site. The period of performance includes one base year with four option years.
