Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % Project Description: George West Park is a neighborhood park in the Mt Pleasant neighborhood of Providence. The park acts as a green school yard for George J West Elementary School, in addition to abutting the Mt Pleasant Academy. The park features an outdated play area, a softball field, and a splashpad. This project is primarily focused on a revamp of the playground area, replacing all the play features as well as improving circulation, seating options and adding trees for shade. Additionally, the underused softball field infrastructurewill be removed along with a majority of the outfield fence in order to connect the playground with the field. BASE BID: The Base Bid scope of work for this project shall include, but not be limited to the following: _ Remove chain link fencing at splash pad and softball field _ Install new 5-12 yr old playground features (purchased by Parks) _ Furnish & Install concrete curbing & EWF in play area _ F&I new ADA accessible asphalt path _ F&I concrete & stonedust seating area with furnishings _ F&I precast block & boulder retaining walls _ Remove chain link fencing at splash pad and softball field _ Remove softball infield, re-grade w/ loam and hydroseed _ F&I shade & flowering trees ADD ALTERNATES include: _ 2-5 yr old play area _ Additional asphalt path replacement _ Entry/seating area for field _ Replacing chain link fence with welded wire mesh fence on Chalkstone Ave _ Additional tree planting around the field In addition to stating the Total Base Bid, the bidder shall state Unit Prices for related work listed under each bid item which represents the work items included in the Total Base Bid.
