PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project involves the construction of a 10,790 square foot addition and a 200 square foot interior renovation, which includes 15 treatment stations, two isolation rooms, central nurses' station, patient reception and waiting area, patient lavatory, staff and public lavatory, staff locker and lounge shower area, administrative offices, water treatment facilities, prep room, home health training stations, utility rooms, and storage areas. Other components include dietitian and social worker counseling rooms, training rooms, a conference room and a training suite for patient training in hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. The new state-of-the-art facility shall be designed to meet the current standards and the current and future needs of the Providence VAMC's military Veterans. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered.
