It is the intent of Berkeley County School District (hereinafter referred to as the "District") to solicit proposals from well-qualified contractors to provide the necessary labor and materials to replace closet switching infrastructure at six (6) locations under the Federal E-Rate Program; therefore, this RFP is intended to comply with all Federal Procurement guidelines and E-Rate bidding requirements. The upgrades will allow the District to provide improved network services to the students and support the District's 1:1 initiative. This shall be a turnkey project; therefore, the vendor must be able to provide all materials and labor itemized in this contract. Any work that shall be performed by a subcontractor must be disclosed in the proposal submission. In determining the meaning of statements contained in this document, please carefully consider the strict meaning of words such as: must, shall, will, should, might, could, require, suggest, etc. In addition, the District has determined that procuring the scope of this work as an Invitation to Bid was neither practical or advantageous; therefore, the Request for Proposal method of procurement is being utilized. Potential Offerors must comply with all requirements, and provide all required documentation to allow a complete evaluation of the proposal submitted. Any proposal submitted that does not comply with these requirements may be deemed non-responsive and not considered for award. The District reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals and to waive any informalities and/or irregularities thereof.
