The Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority (FMHA) is soliciting proposals from qualified companies interested in providing a combined Energy Audit and Utility Allowance Study in accordance with 24 CFR Part 965, and the Public Housing Modernization Standards Handbook 7458.2. The energy audit is to be a one-time required 5-year audit, and the utility allowance is to be for a 4-year period for the Public Housing and Section 8 programs. These programs provide affordable rental options for low-income families and are primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The last one-time required 5-year audit was completed in October 2024. The next 5-year audit will need to be completed in October 2029. The energy audit shall be completed by October 15th of 2029. The utility allowance shall be completed by October 1st of each year.
