The City of Walnut Creek (City) is a full-service municipality serving over 70,000 residents and is located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The City is approximately 19.8 square miles in size and has a work force of approximately 350 employees. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicits responses, which enable the City to select the lowest responsive bid to complete the installation of new curb ramps and medians, as detailed in the attached Scope of Work (Attachment A). The project is located at: - Valley Vista Rd at Ygnacio Canal Trail - Diablo Shadow Dr and Brandywine Way - Parish Dr at Claiborne Dr and Terrebonne Dr Projected duration of this project is May 26, 2026 through June 19, 2026. Actual project dates will be negotiated between Contractor and the City Project Manager upon award of an agreement however all work must be complete by July 1, 2026. Working days shall not exceed twenty (20) days without prior written approval from the city Project Manager. All responses must be made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule provided in Attachment B to be considered for award. In addition, contractors must possess a General Engineering Contractor's License (A) and or a Concrete Classification (C-8), possess a valid Business License from the City of Walnut Creek, have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing similar work, and demonstrate the necessary qualifications to complete the work described in the Scope of Work. The City of Walnut Creek has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must register with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract.
