**As of March 25th, 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award sometime in May 2026.** The work consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and materials (except as specified) to perform streetlight conduit replacement on Cornell Drive and Thompson Avenue, as well as Moreland Drive from Fernside Boulevard to Buena Vista Avenue. The contractor is expected to begin work within five working days following the specified start date and complete all work within seventy working days. All workers must be paid at least the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted in sealed form on the Bid Proposal and Schedule form provided. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the City of Alameda in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid. Upon award, the contractor must furnish a 100% faithful performance bond and a 100% payment bond. All contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered to perform public work and possess a valid Class A construction license. The successful bidder and all subcontractors must obtain a City of Alameda Business License. Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all changes to plans and documents during the bid process. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor defects or technicalities, or solicit new bids. Please direct any Project questions to Trung Nguyen.
