The City of Grants Pass Facilities Department is accepting sealed bid proposals for Design-Build Project for an addition of 3 storage units, 2 units will be ~12ft X 24ft and one unit will be ~24ft X 24ft. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: Site Preparation and Foundation: Prepare the site for the addition, including any necessary grading, excavation, and installation of a reinforced concrete slab foundation suitable for the storage units. The slab must support the structural loads and meet local soil bearing pressure requirements as determined by the engineer. (The City will reroute the existing storm drain as necessary.) Structural Construction: Construct three metal storage units using materials that match the existing building (e.g., metal framing, siding, roofing, and doors). Units must be structurally sound, with appropriate seismic, wind, snow, and other load designs. Doors and Access: Install a total of three ~ 10-foot wide by 10-foot tall roll-up doors and one man door, matching the size, style and functionality of existing doors. Electrical Work: Extend electrical circuits from the adjacent existing units to provide interior lighting (e.g., LED fixtures for adequate illumination) and at least two standard 120V outlets per unit. All electrical work must include proper grounding, circuit protection, and compliance with energy conservation standards. Insulation: Insulate the ceiling of each unit to match the existing insulation type and to meet code requirements. Finishes: Ensure all interior and exterior finishes, including painting or coating, match the existing building for uniformity. Utilities and Infrastructure: Coordinate any necessary drainage modifications with the City. (The City will reroute the existing storm drain as necessary.) Cleanup and Restoration: Remove all construction debris and restore any disturbed areas to pre-construction conditions. The project does not include modifications to the existing building beyond the electrical extensions and structural connections for the addition.
