Renovation of an industrial development in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a industrial development.
The project includes removal of the existing auto lifts and installation of new Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) lifts, including ground preparation for the installation of new lifts. All Direct Contractors planning to submit a bid are required to attend the entire mandatory virtual pre-bid conference. Bidders must possess a valid California Contractor License B – General Building, or have it possessed by one of its subcontractors, maintaining the license(s) throughout the duration of the project. All designated subcontractors must also hold active CSLB licenses at the time of bid submission and throughout the project duration. Bid security in the form of a bid bond not less than 10% of the bid amount must be submitted electronically and as a hard copy. Contractors and all subcontractors must be Department of Industrial Relations Registered Contractors. The work is subject to payment of Prevailing Wage Rates, with prevailing wage monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Mandatory in-person job site walk attendance must be coordinated with the District’s Construction Manager. Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries through PlanetBids only, and are responsible for their timely submission. Bids are to be uploaded electronically via the District’s online vendor portal; bidders are responsible for ensuring timely receipt of all required documents. Missing documents may cause the bid to be deemed non-responsive. After award, 100% Labor & Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond are required.
