Renovation of a mixed-use development in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and municipal facility.
Work consists of Village Hall Window & Generator Replacement and Senior/Community Center Entry Door replacement. Bids will be based on a single lump sum general construction contract. Bids shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Division of Labor Standards. Bid Security is required in the amount of five (5) percent of Proposal and shall be made payable to the Village of Glen Carbon. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. Successful Bidder contractor must provide proof of OSHA training required by Illinois law and verification of participation in E-Verify or other federal work authorization program. Contractor will use Owner's tax-exempt status for all purchases of material and equipment. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and may accept that which is most advantageous to the Village of Glen Carbon, to waive informalities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
