Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Garden City, Kansas. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway.

As of April 01, 2026, only recieved one bid and it was rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The work consists of the following major items: milling 2” of asphalt from 23,093 square yards of scheduled city streets as shown on the map; overlay with 2” hot mix asphalt (HMA) commercial mix in the area milled with tack oil applied between the milled surface and new HMA; and providing all proper work zone equipment needed for the project consistent with the MUTCD standards. All bids must be submitted on the printed proposal forms, which may be obtained from the Public Works Office. The proposal form shall serve as the contract to supply the materials and perform the required work for the unit price bid on the proposal form for the summer of 2026, on an as-needed basis from May 1 through August 22. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least thirty days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
