Sealed bids will be received electronically for two portions of Three Mile Run Road, a portion of Park Avenue, and a portion of Tunnel Road. Contractors may submit individual bids for one or more of the contracts. The successful bidder(s) will be required to pay PennBID a fee of 1/3 of 1% of the contract award value. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township via PennBid and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least 10% of the total price bid made payable to the Township. Bidder shall verify compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act (E-Verify Program). A statement of contractor PennDOT prequalification as a prime contractor must be included with all bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and a Maintenance Bond in the amount specified in the individual contract specifications with a corporate surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications. Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be based on the Total Base Bid or Base Bid Plus Alternate, at the discretion of the Township and will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
