The work includes the removal and replacement of approximately 50 linear feet (LF) of existing 8-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) gravity sewer pipe with 8-inch PVC gravity sewer pipe, installation of approximately 9 LF of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer pipe, grouting and abandonment of approximately 25 LF of existing 8-inch gravity sewer, removal of approximately 51 LF of existing 10-inch VCP gravity sewer, removal and replacement of approximately 51 LF of existing 12-inch PVC gravity sewer, installation of 24 LF of 6-inch PVC service line, 4 core borings to existing manholes, and removal and replacement of 1 sanitary manhole. The project also includes temporary bypass pumping, construction of temporary site access, maintenance of traffic, utility replacement/relocation, erosion control, dewatering, and restoration. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Florida. Bids must be in accordance with the bidding documents on file with Black & Veatch Corporation. Neither the owner nor engineer is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than those indicated. Bids must be received on a unit price basis as described in the contract documents. Each successful bidder must provide a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond as security for performance and payment of all obligations arising from the contract. The proposal shall be firm for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of public opening. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted by Friday, March 6th, 2026, to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda e-mailed, as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received after March 10th , 2026, may not be answered. Only answers issued by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. . Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable without condition to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid and in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements set forth in the Supplementary Conditions. The bid bond shall be submitted on the form included in the Bidding Documents.
