Site work for a water / sewer project in Brandon, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is for a General Contract to furnish all labor and materials for the construction of the STAR ROAD WATER WELL. The work consists of two phases: Phase I – Ground Water Pilot Hole and Test Well, and Phase II – Water Supply Production Well, Sitework Grading, Piping, Chlorination Building, Emergency Standby Generator, and all other associated work necessary to complete the project as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid. Each bidder must write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the designated hour and date. Electronic bidding submissions are also accepted as detailed in the bidding documents. The Contract Time is 240 consecutive calendar days, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day thereafter. The project is subject to all applicable state and federal requirements, including those related to the Safe Drinking Water Act’s State Revolving Loan Funds and the use of American Iron and Steel. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid and to inquire about potential subcontracting opportunities.
