Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Paramount, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,030-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center; and museum.

As of April 03, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded by the end of April 2026. Sealed bids are invited for the Paramount Saw Community Meeting Room / Museum in the City of Paramount, Project No. 9550. Bids must be received at the office of the City Clerk. Attendance at a pre-bid mandatory meeting on site is required for all prime contractor bidders. Bidders must be on the plan holder's list to receive plans and specifications. The minimum prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California apply. Compliance with the employment of apprentices and affirmative action against discrimination in employment is required. A 5-percent retention will be deducted from progress payments, with the option to substitute an escrow holder surety of equal value. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids and will not be discriminated against. The successful contractor or subcontractor must assign any rights from purchases under antitrust laws to the awarding body. Bids must be prepared on approved proposal forms and submitted in a sealed envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or a bidder’s bond for not less than 10 percent of the amount bid. Bidders and their subcontractors must be licensed according to the Business and Professions Code and possess a State Contractor’s License, Class “B” (General Building Contractor), at the time of bid submittal. Contractors and subcontractors must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Submitting a false claim may result in administrative debarment for up to five years. The agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of 90 days. SCOPE OF WORK The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents.
