The Town is soliciting prices for HVAC Preventive Maintenance services as set forth in the Specifications. It is the Town's intent to award a contract to the responsible and eligible bidders submitting the lowest Proposed Contract Prices on Bid Form #11-26. The Town will award to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. Bids will be received no later than 11:00 a.m. at the Purchasing Department, DPW, 515 Main Street, Saugus, Massachusetts. Bids will not be accepted, nor may submitted bids be corrected, modified, or withdrawn after the deadline. Following the deadline, all bids received within the specified time will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract Documents will be available via email or for pickup at the Purchasing Department. All questions must be submitted by the specified deadline. During the bidding period, all facilities will be made available for bidders to visit with designated Town personnel. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit each site and will be responsible for all work under this Contract whether they visit sites or not. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid value, payable to the Town of Saugus, in the form of a bid bond, cash, or a certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. The Town will retain all bid deposits for withdrawn bids to the extent permitted by law. All bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44 A-J. Prevailing Wage Rates determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards apply. The Town will reject any and all bids in accordance with General Laws and reserves the right to waive minor informalities or to reject any or all bids (in whole or in part) if it is in the public interest to do so.
