Site work and paving for a road / highway in Saugus, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of modifications of paving, spreading/finishing (to be done by machine or hand), recycling of existing pavement, milling (removing concrete), construction of catch basins and manholes (using concrete block masonry or precast concrete), and adjusting structures and water gates. The contractor must furnish all machinery, tools, equipment, facilities, plant, labor, supervision, and materials necessary to complete all street paving work throughout the town. Prior to any application of pavement, the surface must be cleared of dirt, leaves, vegetation, and/or foreign matter using power sweepers. Contractors must be pre-qualified through MASSDOT. The class of work for this bid is pavement surfacing. The project value of this project is $655,025.00. Total 3 years value =$1,965,075.00 The Design Professional will interpret and decide matters concerning performance underand requirements ofthe Contract Documents on written request ofeither the Town or the Contractor.
