Design-build construction services for trail hardening and related drainage and structural improvements along the Lake Loop section of the Multi-Use Trail in the Sam Houston National Forest. Work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and construction activities necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Statement of Work. Architect-Engineer services, if needed, are incidental to construction and not procured under the Brooks Act. The effort will be performed under a single firm-fixed-price contract set aside for small business concerns under NAICS 237990. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for Small Business concerns. Project Description The project consists of trail hardening, drainage improvements, and maintenance of existing trail structures on the Lake Loop Section of the Multi-Use Trail within the Sam Houston National Forest. Work includes, but is not limited to: o Surface blading and shaping for proper drainage o Spot placement of aggregate base and oversized rock o Installation, maintenance, or removal of drainage structures including culverts and drainage dips o Trail mowing, clearing, and corridor maintenance o Seeding and fertilization of disturbed areas o Maintenance and repair of miscellaneous trail structures, including concrete planked crossings and FRP bridge decking All work shall be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work, applicable Forest Service specifications, and FP-14 requirements.
