The contract involves the extension of over 9,000 LF of 8-inch waterline to serve as interconnections between the Water District and the City of Kuttawa and/or the City of Eddyville water systems, respectively. All of the work is located in Lyon County, and it will be performed in accordance with contract documents and specifications. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Projects must comply with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), and all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used must be produced in the United States unless a waiver is approved. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the bid. The Owner may waive informalities or reject any or all bids. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The contract requires substantial completion within 60 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day. The project is funded with District Reserve monies and/or funds from the Delta Regional Authority, and all applicable DRA requirements and provisions must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors.
