Construction of a new municipal water supply wellhouse including masonry building, well pump and associated mechanical piping, chemical feed equipment, HVAC and plumbing, electrical and instrumentation equipment; site work such as paving and roadway construction, water main and sanitary connections, sewer lining, and outdoor standby power systems. Includes SCADA and controls work to integrate the new wellhouse into the Village’s existing SCADA system. All iron and steel products used must be produced in the United States. Construction must conform to the wage requirements of the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. Bidders must show good faith efforts to solicit proposals from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), including minority business enterprises (MBE) and women business enterprises (WBE), and DBEs are encouraged to bid as Prime Contractor if qualified for the work. The contract will require compliance with Federal government policy for increased use of DBE businesses and contractors must meet U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates for similar projects in the area. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Village of McFarland within the last year or pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with their bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal pipeline construction.
