Renovation of a water / sewer project in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission John J. Lyons Administration Building, at the above agency address until the deadline at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The DCAMM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the General Bidder is Mechanical Systems. Bids from Subcontractors will be accepted at the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission John J. Lyons Administration Building, above agency address, until the deadline, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Sub-Bids with the required Bid deposit will be received for the following items of work: Plumbing and Electrical Work. The Cobble Mountain Hydroelectric Station Unit 3 uses two large butterfly isolation valves, an electric motor-operated Upper Isolation Valve and a hydraulically controlled Lower Isolation Valve--for penstock and turbine shutoff. The new valves will be custom fabricated to fit the same footprint as the existing valves, eliminating the need for penstock modifications.
