The project involves the renovation of existing classrooms, including limited hazardous material abatement as indicated in the contract documents, updates to the mechanical, lighting, and plumbing systems, and new finishes and furnishings. Sealed bids will be received for Classroom Renovations at Hillside Intermediate School under an Overall Single Prime contract covering all work. Bidders must submit one original and one copy of the bid in a sealed envelope, properly identified. Bid documents must be procured through the architect's website and bidders must register on the site. There is a non-refundable fee for the documents, with additional charges for mailing. Bidders are strongly recommended to attend a pre-bid conference, where the project scope will be reviewed and clarifications provided. Bids must be made on provided proposal forms and accompanied by bid security as specified in the instructions. A Certificate of Consent of Surety must be included, indicating provision of performance/payment bonds if successful. Bids cannot be withdrawn within 60 days of opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Bidders must comply with employment and wage requirements, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, The Law Against Discrimination, Affirmative Action, political contribution disclosure requirements, business registration, and prequalification as specified.
