The work includes the removal and replacement of approximately one-hundred linear feet of 12" gravity main and approximately twenty service laterals located along Great Creek Road in Galloway Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey. The work consists specifically of the removal and replacement of approximately one-hundred (100') linear feet of 12" ACP gravity main with 12" PVC SDR-26 gravity main and replacement of approximately twenty (20) service laterals from the deep house connection to the curb line. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work as described in the specifications and drawings must be furnished. Bidders must submit bids in writing on the provided forms and include bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner, in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid (not exceeding $20,000 or less than $500.00), along with a Certificate of Surety, "Statement of Ownership Disclosure," and "Non-Collusion Affidavit," all on the forms provided. Originals must be provided; no photocopies will be accepted. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site in person before submitting a bid. The prepared proposal form contained in the Contract Documents must be used, and each proposal must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed and marked as directed. Successful bidders must provide a photocopy of their "Certificate of Employee Information Report" or the pink copy of the AA-302 form within seven days of notification of intent to award the contract or receipt of the contract, or the bid will be rejected as non-responsive. Bonds and proof of insurance must be submitted before execution of contracts. Compliance with all relevant Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations, including Affirmative Action and Prevailing Wage requirements, is required. Bidders must comply with Public Works Contractor Registration and Business Registration Certificate requirements. Challenges to bid specifications must be submitted in writing at least three business days prior to the bid opening date. No refunds will be issued if the contract is awarded; if not awarded, refunds will be given pursuant to statute when contract documents are returned in reasonable condition within 90 days of notice.
