The work generally includes, but is not limited to, resurfacing of an asphalt trail, installation of a playground and shelter, and landscaping. All contracts are subject to District rules and regulations. This is a Prevailing Wage job. The Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive bid formalities, and accept the lowest responsible bid in the best interest of the District. The lowest bidder will be determined based on the base bid or the base bid and any combination of alternates the Owner chooses to accept. All bids will remain firm for ninety days after the bid opening. Questions must be submitted in writing at least two days prior to the bid opening. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids and successful bidders are encouraged to utilize minority and women-owned businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Prior to construction, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing the Owner with a detailed construction sequencing schedule outlining the days times, and areas of the parking lot that will be affected and shut off to patrons. The intent is to keep as much of the parking lot functioning as possible during construction. B. During construction the Contractor shall be responsible for erecting and maintaining all temporary traffic control measures, including signs, barricades, etc. required to direct traffic and patrons
