Lump sum proposals are being received for a Classroom & Learning Commons Addition and 2026/2027 Renovations at Glenbard West High School. The project includes a four-story classroom addition, a two-story learning commons addition on the north side of the existing building, rammed aggregate piers, frost walls and footings, and full height foundation walls for the building's 100 level. The interior renovation scope, scheduled for the summers of 2026 and 2027, includes refreshing science classrooms, general purpose classrooms, student services, restrooms, and administration areas. Additional civil upgrades include renovating an existing entrance and constructing a new staircase from Cresent for improved accessibility. Bid packages include Theatre Seating, Theatre Platforms, Theatrical Lighting and Power, Theatrical Systems, Site Concrete and Paving, and Landscaping. Bidding will be conducted through Procore Bidding. Bidders must submit current qualifications through COMPASS. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond equal to ten percent of the base bid is required. Only bid bonds are accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond for one hundred percent of the bid may be required from the awarded bidder. The contract requires compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, including wage, notice, and record-keeping obligations. Failure to comply with the requirements will result in disqualification of the bidder.
