Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Watervliet, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a military facility; for site work for a military facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Construction of a new electrical switching station to provide reliable backup power in the event of a long-term outage from the facility's main substation. The work includes furnishing and installing four 2-megawatt generators and constructing a dedicated generator facility. Project activities also include installation of electrical manholes, duct banks, grounding systems, fencing, switchgear, transfer switches, power and control cabling, splices, and connections. Associated site work includes paving, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and restoration. The scope further requires all necessary utility interconnections to supply fuel to the power generation facility, integration of the new switching station with the existing south switch station, and complete utilities testing and commissioning to ensure full operational capability. Location: Watervliet Arsenal, 1 Buffington Street, Watervliet, NY 12189 The magnitude of this construction is estimated to cost between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
