Site work for a water / sewer project in Waverly, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work shall generally consist of construction of a new concrete clarifier basin and clarifier, flow splitter basin, underground piping, replacement of an existing flocculator and rapid mixer, replacement of a diesel-powered emergency standby generator, replacement of turbidimeters, and replacement and upgrades to the existing SCADA system. Bidders are required to undertake specified affirmative efforts regarding the increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening. Proposals must declare that only persons or parties interested in the proposed work as Principals are those contained in the Proposal and that the Proposal is made without collusion. All proposals must be made on the Proposal forms furnished by the Owner's Project Engineer and must contain the signature of the Bidder. The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any or all bids and determine which is the lowest, responsive, responsible bid based upon the Base Bid for the work. Question Deadline 03/20/2026 All questions of a technical nature regarding the project will only be answered in writing by Addendum. Any questions may be submitted by telephone or in writing to Jamie Headen, jheaden@bentoneng.com, (217) 245-4146, or at the Pre-Bid Meeting. Questions should be submitted to the Engineer no later than five (5) working days prior to the bid date.
