The scope of work consists of labor and materials to remove existing motor control panelboards and replace them with new panelboards. Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained by bidders at the office of South Dakota State University or at regional builder's exchanges. These documents are for the sole purpose of submitting a bid on the project and are the sole property of the State. Copies must be returned or destroyed if the bidder is not awarded the contract within thirty days after the bid opening. The plans and specifications are to be used only for preparing a bid and are confidential. Bids in excess of $50,000.00 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and all add alternates, or a 10% bid bond issued by an authorized surety. South Dakota State University reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. The following items need to be submitted along with your bid: all blanks on the Bid Form must be filled in, receipt of all addenda must be noted, the Bid Form must be signed by an authorized person, a bid bond or security must be submitted for bids $50,000.00 or higher, a "Non-Resident Bidder Affidavit" must be submitted if applicable, and all documents must be placed in a sealed envelope labeled in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
