Sealed bids are requested for a single Prime Construction Contract for the entire Work of a 12,210 SF interior renovation at Northwood Technical College Superior Campus. All bids should clearly label the campus location and must be submitted electronically; no hard copies will be accepted. Bids are to be on a lump sum basis with no segregated sub-bids. A pre-bid conference is scheduled at the project location for bidders to review conditions and ask questions, and attendance is required. Questions regarding bidding documents or requests for substitutions must be submitted in writing to the Architect by the specified deadline. Clarifications and modifications will be issued via Addendum. Electronic bidding documents will be available from the architect and distributed to listed builder’s exchanges. Hard copies may be picked up at the architect’s office upon payment of a shipping fee. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid is required with the bid in the form of cashier’s check, certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract sum. The award may be made to any responsible bidder offering suitable supplies, equipment, and/or service at the lowest price, considering quality and the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and enter into contracts as deemed in the Owner's best interest.
