Sealed proposals are requested for renovations to the handicap ramp at the Hammond Civic Center. Bids must be for general construction. All bids must be sealed, submitted on the Bid Proposal Form in the Project Manual, and include Indiana State Form No. 96, along with a satisfactory bid bond or certified check/bank draft for five percent (5%) of the maximum bid. For bids over $200,000, the successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, both for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. All contractors must be properly licensed in the City of Hammond at the time the bid is awarded. Bidders must provide a list of all subcontractors within 24 hours of the bid due date and cannot deviate from this list without approval. Bidders must be prequalified by the City of Hammond Building Commissioner according to Hammond Ordinance No. 9519. Bidders must conform to anti-discrimination laws and submit an Affirmative Action Statement with the bid. The Hammond Parks & Recreation reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening. General: The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, fuel, power and water, heat, superintendence, temporary construction facilities, insurance, taxes, permits, fees and all other services and facilities, except as stated to be furnished by others, necessary to complete the work as called for on the construction documents and/or herein specified, including the mechanical services, therein and equipment, utility services thereto, and the construction of sidewalks and paving.
