Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hammond, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This work includes, but is not limited to: patching, curb replacement, asphalt milling, and HMA surface of 165th Street from Kennedy Avenue to Grand Avenue in the City of Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. The work must be completed by October 1, 2026. Bids must be properly executed on bid forms contained in the contract documents. All bidders must be properly licensed in the City of Hammond at the time bids are received and must comply with the requirements in Ordinance No. 9519 relating to responsible bidding practices. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Hammond or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price, executed by an incorporated surety company qualified to do business in Indiana. Performance and payment bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price are required. Bidders must submit Standard Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2009) including a non-collusion affidavit, proof of subscription to the Indiana Plan and a joint apprenticeship and training program, an Affirmative Action Statement, and a written Drug Testing Plan. Each prime contractor must be prequalified by INDOT. Each successful bidder and any subcontractors must agree to abide by the applicable Project Labor Agreement. Twenty-five percent (25%) of the contractor's workforce in each initial craft should, whenever possible, be comprised of City of Hammond residents participating in the Indiana Plan.
