Site work and new construction of a civil project in Fernley, Nevada. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to construct a new welded steel water storage tank facility and associated improvements. Work includes site clearing; earthwork and grading; drainage improvements; installation of new yard piping (18-inch, 14-inch, and 12-inch) with valves, fittings, thrust restraint, and appurtenances; construction of valve vaults; installation of a post hydrant; preparation of tank subgrade and foundation; access road improvements; fabrication and erection of a welded steel water storage tank with appurtenances; cathodic protection; interior and exterior coating systems; testing, disinfection, and commissioning; electrical and SCADA intertie connections; site restoration; and all related work as required by the Contract Documents. The Project has an expected duration of 180 calendar days. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form (separate Bid package) and accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base Bid amount. Successful Bidders will be required to furnish both a payment Bond and performance Bond in the full amount of the contract price. The Owner will not award the Contract to a Bidder who, at the time of submitting a Bid, was not properly licensed under the provisions of Chapter 624 of NRS or if the Contract would exceed the limit of the Bidders license. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Owner anticipates that the Project's total base bid price will be approximately $3,304,000.00. Question Deadline 03/06/2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Gina Meyer, gina@shawengineering.com Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bid Item 1 - Mobilization/Demobilization This bid item includes all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, insurance, bonds, permits, and incidentals necessary to mobilize to and demobilize from the projectsite forthe construction of the new welded steel water storage tank. Mobilization shall include, but not be limited to, projectstart-up activities; transportation of personnel, construction equipment, and materialsto the site; establishment and maintenance of temporary construction facilities; site access and security; temporary utilities; safety planning and implementation; environmental protection measures; and coordination with the Owner and Engineer prior to commencement of tank construction. Demobilization shall include the orderly removal of all temporary facilities, equipment, surplus materials, waste, and debrisfrom the site upon completion of the work;restoration of disturbed areas to pre-construction or specified conditions; final site cleanup; and all activities necessary to leave the site in a clean, safe, and acceptable condition. Bid Item 2 - Earthwork, Rough Grading, Slope Stabilization, and Swale This bid item includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to perform earthwork and rough grading for the project, including clearing and grubbing as required, excavation, embankment, filling, compaction, and shaping ofsubgradesto the lines, grades, and elevationsshown on the plans. The work shall also include construction and stabilization of cut and fill slopes, installation of erosion and sediment control measures, placement ofsoil stabilization materials, and installation of drainage swale(s) including excavation, grading, shaping, and compaction to provide positive drainage. Thisitem shall further include offsite disposal of unsuitable material, moisture conditioning, temporary surface protection, and restoration of disturbed areas asrequired to complete the work in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and applicable standards. Bid Item 3 - 18" Yard Piping and Appurtenances This bid item includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install all 18-inch diameter yard piping, fittings, valves, thrust restraint, joint restraint, bedding, backfill, testing, disinfection, and surface restoration necessary for a complete and operational installation as shown on the plans. Bid Item 4 - 14" Yard Piping and Appurtenances This bid item includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install all 14-inch diameter yard piping, fittings, valves, thrust restraint, joint restraint, bedding, backfill, testing, disinfection, and surface restoration necessary for a complete and operational installation as shown on the plans. Bid Item 5 - 12" Overflow Piping and Appurtenances This bid item includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install all 12-inch diameter yard piping, fittings, valves, thrust restraint, joint restraint, bedding, backfill, testing, and surface restoration necessary for a complete and operational installation as shown on the plans. Bid Item 6 - 12" Hot Tap This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform a 12-inch hot tap on the existing 18" water main identified on the plans. Work includes furnishing and installing the hot tap sleeve, valve, and tapping assembly; coordination with the Owner for operating pressures and tapping requirements; traffic control and site access as required; excavation, shoring, dewatering, and backfill; execution of the hot tap by qualified personnel using approved equipment; pressure testing and leak verification; disinfection of new piping and appurtenances as required; restoration of, surface improvements, and disturbed areas; and documentation of the completed work. All work shall be performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications, applicable AWWA standards, manufacturer recommendations, and Owner requirements, with no interruption to the existing water system. Bid Item 7 - 10" Altitude Valve Vault This bid item includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to excavate and install the valve vault indicated shown in Detail 1/C7 of the design drawings including piping, altitude valve assembly, appurtenances, coatings, access hatch, ladder backfill, and surface restoration necessary to construct and place into service the 10-inch altitude valve vault.
