Sealed proposals will be received for public works including 30 curb & gutter (300 LF), 24 curb & gutter (200 LF), 4 concrete sidewalk replacement (1,250 SF), 6 concrete sidewalk replacement (500 SF), additional sidewalk management program 4 sidewalk (10,000 SF), bulk concrete poured (10 CY), pulverized black dirt (10 CY), seed, fertilizer, & mulch (800 SF), detectable warning field (5), laborer (40 hours), and tractor backhoe w/ operator (10 hours). Curb & gutter removal (500 LF) is also included along with any additional miscellaneous appurtenance. The work must be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications on file at the City Clerks office. Commencement shall begin no later than ten days after notification from the engineer and must be completed by October 31, 2026. Bidders must submit sealed bids accompanied by a Certificate of Organization and Authority, a list of subcontractors, approval of pre-qualification, and a certified check or bid bond of 5-10% of the bid payable to the City of Onalaska. A Proof of Responsibility form must be filed demonstrating financial ability, equipment, and experience. Only qualified bidders as determined by the Council will be accepted. Bids must conform with all municipal wage scale requirements and minimum rates of pay as established by the City. All contract documents including advertisements, information, proposal, bonds, specifications, and ordinances form a part of the contract. The proposal envelope must be marked BID PROPOSAL 2026 MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE. Digital bidding documents are available for a fee, and paper copies can be obtained for an additional cost.
